tracking the ads

so i've been writing for months about the dangers of redlights, the perils of pedestrians, and the process of identifying and observing metrics to understand user behavior. and i'm a bit of a search geek, around the idea of how people look for information.

checked to make sure this evening's crimes had gone up, and i noticed that as soon as i put up "the alley behind the library" i got an ad that was "santa monica alcohol - find good bars clubs and lounges". this is very different from the usual assortment of insurance services, and santa monica hotels or real estate, and only a little different from the DUI attorneys.

so which keyword combo bought that space?

Maybe "the alley behind" = superduper secret hipster club w/o an address - harkening back to the old Ma Maison days?
