These people locked their dog in their car.

Only partially handicapped. Half blind? Half-assed?

18 March 2010

The kitchen 3/17

Tomorrow night is science night at school, but EVERY night is science night in the kitchen.

Sepulveda below Wilshire 3/16

Driving down the wrong side of the street.

15 March 2010

Kenter at Sunset 3/15

That sports coupe turned right from the left lane. On red. He DID stop.

14 March 2010

Sepulveda at Olympic 3/11

Ran the light.

Sepulveda below Wilshire 3/11

That car drove a quarter mile in the turn lane.  You can't see why he's stopped; it's because there's someone oncoming, turning. He swerved out into the southbound lane to avoid him and continue northbound.

Sepulveda at Wilshire 3/11

You can just see the front wheel of the car parked in the intersection.

Sepulveda at Pico 3/11

Ran the light.

11 March 2010

San Vicente at Montana 3/10

The car in front of this bus ran the light, and the bus was actually stopped at the red light when all of a sudden the driver heaved it out into the intersection.  Hell yes, safety is my no. 1 goal!

Rochedale at Hanley 3/10

Blew through the stop sign.

San Vicente at Bundy to Kenter at Hanley 3/11

This woman drove like a bat out of hell, first cutting us off at San Vicente by veering right into our lane at the jog, then tailgating all the way up Kenter, blithely ignoring the stop signs at Tuallitan and Bonhill.

San Vicente at Montana 3/10

Ran the light.

10 March 2010

Kenter at Sunset 3/9

A garden-variety red light violation.

Kenter at the school, and subsequent 3/9

This woman pulled up next to me at the school and yelled, "What part of slowing down for a school zone do you not understand?"  Pretty sanctimonious for someone who then ran a stop sign at Kenter and Bonhill.

Further down Bundy she pulled over and gestured for me to do the same. Right, I'm going to take time out of my morning so she can tell me off.  I don't think so!  Then she followed me all the way to my coffeeshop at 18th and Ocean Park.  She even pulled over and parked, but never got out of her car I guess.  She wasn't there when I came out after breakfast. I imagined her following me around all day.

Wilshire at Barrington 3/9

Another red light cycle, another red light run.

Wilshire at Barrington 3/9

Ran the light.

Bundy at Wilshire 3/9

Still getting used to the funky camera action on the Droid, but that car ran the light.

Kenter at Sunset 3/9

The light cycle runs about four minutes here. Each light cycle there are probably on average ten red-light violations. This is one of the 150 that will take place between 7 and 8 this morning.

Kenter at Sunset 3/9

See the barest sliver of the front end of the car behind the obvious perpetrator? He ran the light too.

Kenter at Sunset 3/9

There were four cars that ran this light. This was just the last of them.

The kitchen counter 3/9

Done sawing!

Parked. Where? That would be IN THE RED ZONE!

This guy was behind the line when the light turned red, and after a pause, he jumped into the intersection.

San Vicente at Montana 3/8

You can just make out the two cars that made U-turns on red.

Church at Sunset 3/2

Didn't run the light, but pulled into the intersection without there being anywhere for them to go.  And they always look so indignant when we honk at them or try to drive around them, like WE'RE the ones causing the trouble.

Santa Monica at Veteran 3/2

Ran the light.

Sunset at Veteran 3/2

7th at San Vicente to Channel at Short 3/2

This woman rode my bumper hard all the way down the hill, sometimes less than a car's length away. She didn't respond to tapping on the brake or slowing way down. On the contrary, she just followed me more closely.
